Welcome!
AIMHiTN is proud to offer Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate programming.
The Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate for Early Care and Education will begin on March 23, 2026.
This application closes on March 6, 2026.
You will hear from us by March 13th if you have been accepted into the program. On this day, you will receive a Welcome packet with all the information you will need to complete the Certificate Program. Then the certificate course will launch on March 23, 2026.
What is the structure of the certificate program?
The Certificate program lasts for six months. Each month, you will be given access to the learning block that needs to be completed within that month. The majority of the program is asynchronous with 1 hour monthly being synchronous. There are multiple time options monthly for the 1 hour synchronous requirements.
In each learning block, you will have 2-3 hours of content videos to review on your own time. There will be discussion boards based on the content, also to be done on your own time. Lastly, there are Reflective Practice Spaces each month. These are your only live sessions that must be completed. You only need four hours of Reflective Practice Spaces to complete the cohort, with these four hours being across four learning blocks.
What will my commitment be?
If you can commit 3-4 hours monthly toward the course, you will be successful. There is only 1 hour of Reflective Practice that is synchronous each month, with multiple time options for that time.
Why should I join?
The IECMH Certificate is a cohort-style professional development experience, so you have the opportunity to grow in your knowledge of infant and early childhood mental health as you connect with other professionals across the state. Certificates will count toward Infant Mental Health or Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement training or renewal requirements. The program comes at no cost to participants.
